Christopher Leake

Chris Leake was trained in Soil Science gaining a BSc at the University of Reading, UK. He started work in industry in the UK  in pesticide metabolism in animals, plants, soil, water and side-effects testing, with a focus on laboratory  environmental fate studies including leaching , adsorption/desorption and time dependent sorption, aerobic and anaerobic degradation, photolysis on soil and water. He set up some of the first  lysimeter studies , before  moving into field studies, modelling and environmental risk assessment. He completed a PhD in Environmental Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland and has worked in USA, UK, France and is now in Germany with Bayer CropScience. He has over 35 years’ experience in environmental fate,  ecotoxicology and risk assessment bringing this experience to his current role of Environmental Safety Manager.
