Manuela Cigolini graduated in Agricultural Science and Technology in 2003 at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Piacenza (Italy) with a final discussion on the variability of Diaphorte helianthi related to different geographic areas.
She obtained her PhD in Agricultural Entomology in 2010 at the University of Bologna, Department of Agri-environmental Science and Technology (DiSTA), Alma Mater Studiorum (Italy) with the final discussion on the intraspecific communication in Anarsia lineatella Zeller.
Currently she works on the evaluation of draft Registration Reports (dRR) of Plant Protection Products at the EU Zonal and National (Italian) level in the frame of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Italian Ministry of Health agreement. Evaluation is carried out according to the data requirements as laid down in Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009. Within this context, her focus is on efficacy evaluation.
She gained experience through collaboration with the Istitute of Entomology and Plant Pathology (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Piacenza) in national and international projects.
